Mustang Ridge offers quiet, country living just removed from the big city of Austin. Only 31 homes make up the neighborhood and most were custom-built the 1980s, when South Austinites began to spread out further from the city. Homes here range from 1,100 to 1,700 square feet, but some models are as large as 2,200. Each property is larger than average, with plenty of space to install a backyard pool or outdoor living space. Other rural communities surround Mustang Ridge, so residents have plenty of privacy and room to spread out. Although residents of Mustang Ridge love their country lifestyle, they appreciate being close to both Austin and Buda. South Highway 130 makes it easy to travel to the Southpark Meadows shopping center in Austin or the San Marcos Premium Outlets to the south. Outdoor types can find everything they need for hunting, fishing or camping at Cabela's, located south of the community in Buda. For an evening out, residents can explore the antique shops in downtown Buda, and then enjoy Italian cuisine from Nonna Gina's.
