These unique trucks offer creative variations on classic favorites and continuously introduce Austinites to new types of cuisine from all over the world. Besides the distinctive trailers, food trailer parks in Austin typically include an eclectic collection of picnic tables set up for patrons, and some even host live music at night. 12th Street Soular Food Garden
1112 East 12th Street, Austin, TX
This park hosts trailers that focus on using all-natural products in their foods, which makes for some delicious and creative offerings. The park currently features The Vegan Yacht, Hoover’s Cooking, Capital City Bakery and El Naranjo.
Barton Springs Neighborhood Food Court
415 Jessie Street, Austin, TX
Located off of Barton Springs Road, this food court was formerly known as Jessie Street Eats and is home to one of the largest assemblies of trucks. Fire-Soul, Honky Tonk Hot Dogs, Southside Flying Pizza and Tommy Want Wingy are just a few of the trailers here.
Austin Food Park
30 North Interstate 35 Frontage Road, Austin, TX
Tucked away behind the Town Lake Holiday Inn, Austin Food Park is also home to a Segway tour service, where visitors can sign up for a unique tour of downtown Austin. Mexyko, Crucitas Kitchen and Soup for You, Soups & Smoothies are three of the trailers located here.
Rancho Rio Eatery
2512 Rio Grande Street, Austin, TX
Situated at the heart of West Campus, Rancho Rio Eatery is frequented by University of Texas students looking for a quick, delicious meal. A few favorites are The Mighty Cone, Velveteen Coffee, Short Bus Subs, GiGi’s Cupcakes and Thai of the Town.
The Midway Food Park
1905 South Capital of Texas Highway, Austin, TX
This is the newest food trailer park to open in Austin and brings the quirky feel of South Austin to upscale West Lake Hills. Dock and Roll Diner, The Seedling Truck and One Taco are the first trailers to make their home here.
South First Food Court
603 West Live Oak Street, Austin, TX
The unique culture of South First Street makes it the perfect locale for a food trailer park. Several trailers have gotten their start here, with the current roster including Verts, Blue Dog Pizza and Nettie’s Place.
South Austin Trailer Park & Eatery
1311 South First Street, Austin, TX
One of the oldest food trailer parks, this location is home to the flagship Torchy’s Tacos and epitomizes the distinctive SoFi and SoCo lifestyle. Besides Torchy’s, Conscious Cravings and Holy Cacao are the two permanent trailers set up here.
Pflugerville Pfood Ranch
2205 West Pecan Street, Pflugerville, TX
Food trailer fever is catching on outside of Austin and has made its first stop in Pflugerville. This park is just removed from Interstate 35 and features trailers like Rec’s Hushpuppie Heaven, Flavors of the Bayou, Curly’s Carolina Texas and the Austin original Hey Cupcake!
Trailer Food Tuesday
The Long Center, Austin, TX
On the last Tuesday of every month, The Long Center hosts a variety of different food trailers on its City Terrace. Some of the trucks that have participated include The Peached Tortilla, The Seedling Truck, Chi’Lantro and Be More Pacific.
