There's no better place to celebrate the new year than the Austin area, and we've put together this list of fun, family-friendly events that all ages can enjoy! The youngest in the family can watch balloons drop at "Noon Years Eve" parties at the Thinkery and The Hive. All ages can countdown to midnight with bowling and golfing fun at Mel's Lone Star Lanes and Topgolf. Austin's New Year - Ring in the new year with music, art, and food at Auditorium Shores! From 3 - 10 pm, the whole family can enjoy local live music and grab a bite to eat from food trucks while counting down to 2019. The night will wrap up at 10 pm with a fireworks show. Broken Spoke New Year's Eve - Dance the night away at the New Year's Eve event at the Broken Spoke! Come out early and dine at the restaurant before taking a whirl on the dance floor to Alvin Crow. The dancing starts at 9:15 pm and continues into 2019.
Mel's Lone Star Lanes New Year's Eve - Head to Mel's Lone Star Lanes to take part in two celebrations! Mel’s 9th Annual Family Celebration kicks off from 5 - 8 pm with unlimited bowling and arcade games, as well as a full dinner buffet and champagne toast. Then, at 9 pm the party continues with more bowling, arcade games, a champagne toast, and a countdown to 2019. Reservations fill up fast, so be sure to book online.
New Year's Eve 2018 at Topgolf Austin - Tee off into 2019 at Topgolf for a night of live entertainment, food, and of course, golfing! Noon Year's Eve at The Hive - Grab the whole family and head to The Hive in Austin for their Noon Year's Eve celebration from 11 am - 2 pm! From a live concert by Staci Gray to crafts, snacks, and games, there will be a little something for everyone to enjoy! The ball drops at 12 pm, when you'll be able to toast with sparkling juice and champagne.
Willie Nelson & Family New Year - Country music legend Willie Nelson is back in Austin to ring in the New Year for not one, but three nights! Willie is taking over Austin City Limits Live downtown on December 29th, 30th, and 31st, and sharing the stage with Lukas Nelson and The Promise of the Real. Doors open at 7:30 pm, with the show starting at 9 pm.
