There's nothing quite like celebrating the holiday season in Austin! Our list of fun things to do in Austin this December is packed with festivals, concerts and light trails celebrating the holidays in Austin. This December marks the 50th anniversary of one of Austin's oldest holiday traditions, the Trail of Lights. You can also tour the trails of lights in Lakeway and Round Rock this year. If holiday shopping is on your to-do list, visit the Blue Genie Art Bazaar, Armadillo Christmas Bazaar and German Christmas Market to find unique gifts. You'll also find a few non-holiday events on our list, including the Day of Tango Festival, Violet Crown Art Festival and a visit by the Mythbusters.

Another one of our favorite things to do in December is to give back to our community. Reilly Realtors is sponsoring a toy donation drive this month for SafePlace. SafePlace is a non-profit organization which provides shelter and support for victims of sexual and domestic violence, and their families. From now to December 15th, we are collecting new and gently used toys, clothing for women and children, toiletries of any kind and canned food. We hope you will join us and donate to SafePlace this holiday season. Check out our blog for more information on how you can donate. In addition, please join us from 5pm - 8pm on December 1st at Blackfinn in the Domain for our silent auction benefiting SafePlace.
