Reilly Realtors Gives Back to SafePlace

We’re happy to announce that our 2014 Holiday Donation Drive benefitting SafePlace was a huge success! For over a month, our team has been collecting toys, clothing, toiletries and canned food to donate to SafePlace, a non-profit organization which supports victims of sexual and domestic violence. Earlier this week, a few members of our team dropped off six carloads of donations at SafePlace. We estimate that over 500 toys were donated, along with carseats, clothes and toiletries. In addition, our agent Ellen Outlaw put together small gift baskets of robes, slippers and assorted products from Bath and Body Works as gifts for the women and moms at SafePlace. We are so excited that we were able to give back to our community, and help children and their families have a happy Christmas this year.

In addition to our toy drive, we also accepted monetary donations for SafePlace through Our goal was to raise $3,000, and we’re happy to say that we exceeded that goal! Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we raised $3,465 total on Crowdrise. Combined with the donations given at our silent auction and fundraiser, we were able to donate about $4,000 in monetary donations. Some of that money was also used to purchase brand new toys to donate to SafePlace.

Everyone at Reilly Realtors would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You!” to each person who donated a toy or made a monetary donation during our Holiday Donation Drive. Thank you also to Jeff Swanson of Cedar Park Chiropractic for accepting toy donations at his office, and the Daily Grill for offering a $10 gift card with a $20 toy donation. Finally, thank you to our agents Ellen Outlaw and Courtney Phelps for organizing the Holiday Donation Drive. “I’m hopeful that some moms can rest a little easier knowing that their kids will have a gift this holiday,” says Ellen. “I know that Christmas isn’t all the about the gifts, but it feels amazing to be able to do something nice for someone else during the holidays.” We hope that we can always continue to give back to our Austin community through our Reilly Realtors Love Austin Initiative.
