With its peaceful hill country setting and beautiful homes, Belterra is one of Austin’s most sought-after communities. Last fall, Crescent Communities purchased the last portion of undeveloped land in Belterra in order to complete the neighborhood’s master plan. The company plans to add an additional 800 homes to the 1,200 established homes in Belterra, and it’s starting with two new neighborhoods. Mesa Verde was recently completed in May and features 99 lots ready for new homes. Seneca Trails is the smaller of the two neighborhoods, with just 70 lots. Roadwork for Seneca Trails was finished in August, and new homes will be available as early as next spring. Several well-known builders are expected to develop homes in Mesa Verde and Seneca Trails, including Drees Custom Homes, Buffington Homes and Sitterle Homes. Homes prices are predicted to be set in the $400s to $700s.
Mesa Verde and Seneca Trails are just the tip of the iceberg for Crescent Communities. The company hopes to build at least 100-125 homes each year in Belterra. In a market that is currently short on available home inventory, this is exciting news. In addition to new homes, Crescent Communities is also working on designs for Belterra Commercial. Plans for this 90 acre development are still in the works, but locals can expect there to be room for offices, retail, restaurants and even a grocery store. Crescent Communities is also busy developing homes in Rough Hollow, one of Lakeway’s most popular neighborhoods.
It’s not hard to see what makes Belterra one of Austin’s most popular communities. Residents enjoy access to an extensive trail system, a large amenity center and several pools. Belterra is also part of Dripping Springs ISD, a recognized school district, with an elementary school within the community. In a city where traffic woes are increasing, Belterra remains just thirty minutes from downtown Austin and even closer to southwest Austin employers. It’s location between southwest Austin and Dripping Springs allows residents to enjoy the tranquility of the hill country and bustle of suburban life.
