As Austin continues to grow, so do the surrounding cities of Buda and Kyle. Brand new subdivisions and retail centers are constantly popping up all along the I-35 corridor between San Marcos and South Austin. This summer, residents of Buda can look forward to the opening of a new entertainment facility. A former truck stop along Interstate 35 in Buda will be transformed into Pinballz Kingdom, a thirteen acre entertainment complex. This new facility is the first expansion by the owners of Pinballz Arcade in Northwest Austin.
Pinballz Kingdom will feature a whimsical castle design with a stone exterior and even a drawbridge at the main entrance. Like the original Pinballz location, the new complex includes an arcade, as well as a laser tag arena and mini-bowling section. Pinballz Kingdom will also host a full-service restaurant and bar. The owners hope to attract adults just as much as families. The outdoor beer garden and live music stage at Pinballz Kingdom will be a great venue for a night on the town in Buda. Although the facility hasn’t even opened yet, there are already talks of expanding. In the future, a go-kart track and other entertainment options could be added to Pinballz Kingdom. The facility will initially serve hundreds of guests each day, but the owners plan to serve thousands in the next few years.
The Buda community has welcomed the development of Pinballz Kingdom in their city. The facility will provide a much-needed entertainment center in an area that is rapidly growing. New subdivisions like Sunfield and Meadows at Buda are home to thousands of new residents looking for amenities like this in their area. Buda locals aren’t the only patrons expected to visit Pinballz Kingdom, however. The facility will also serve residents of Kyle, San Marcos and even South Austin. Pinballz Kingdom will no doubt pave the way for other similar amenities to be built in the Buda area. Pinballz Kingdom is expected to open this summer.
