New Development Coming to Cedar Park

It’s hard to go anywhere in Austin without seeing the dust and rumble of construction. Presidio, one of the latest developments in the area, is going up in Cedar Park. Presidio is a mixed-use development located at the corner of Parmer Lane and Ranch Trails Court, just north of the Avery Ranch community. Presidio will cover about 100 acres when complete, bringing residential, retail, and office space to the area. The project broke ground in January 2016, and Phase One is estimated to be complete in the fall of 2016.

The initial phase of Presidio covers 26 acres. This section will feature 74,000 square feet of office space, 21,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, a 100 room hotel, and 320 urban residential lofts. These lofts will be available for lease in four story buildings offering views of the surrounding area. This phase is just the beginning of a sprawling, mixed-use campus. When complete, all the facilities of Presidio will be connected by an extensive trail system with a central park. In addition to restaurants, Presidio will also feature a food trailer park. With over 500,000 square feet of space dedicated to office use, the development could also accommodate a large office campus similar to those of Dell and Apple.

Like the Oaks at Lakeway development, Presidio embraces the “live, work, play” lifestyle that has become increasingly popular in the Austin area. Many of today’s homebuyers are looking for places to live where shopping, dining, and other amenities are accessible close to home. Employees are also attracted to office spaces where they can avoid commuting through heavy traffic. Presidio aims to meet these needs for Cedar Park residents.
