The microgrid combines resources from Austin Energy, natural gas, and fuel cells to power the development. The Backyard promises an amazing dining experience at its future flagship restaurant, The Bloom. The development will also be home to a coffeehouse and party venue.
The next phase of the development, estimated to be completed in 2019, will bring the hotel and music venues to life. The Live Oak Amphitheater will revive the spirit of the original Backyard music venue with a capacity of over 3,400 attendees. The stage will be able to accommodate more than just live music, but theater and ballet performances as well. The Glenn, a smaller venue, will offer the perfect space for an intimate concert or event. The heart of The Backyard development is its hotel, The Nelson. The luxury hotel will offer 125 rooms surrounding the large pool at the center. Its amenities also include a salon and spa, music recording studio, the Hilltop Garden, and promenades connecting guests to each music venue. Residents who want to live close to the action year round are invited to explore the luxurious condos for sale at Ethan’s View.
