With so many new buildings developing downtown, Austin’s skyline is rapidly changing. Seventy Rainey is the latest project slated to be built in downtown Austin. The Rainey Street Food Court, which currently occupies the lot at 70 Rainey Street, will be replaced by a 35 story condominium building. Preliminary work and preparation has already begun on the project, which is expected to break ground this fall.
Seventy Rainey will feature a modern design with 164 residences, a two story restaurant, and above ground parking garage. Early renderings of the project show a modern design with several stories of vertical gardens wrapping around the parking garage. The garage will include both public and private parking spaces. Above the garage, residents can access over 19,000 square feet of outdoor amenity space. Features include an infinity edge pool and sun deck, grilling spaces, lounge areas, dedicated gaming lawns, dog park, and even a community garden. Seventy Rainey will also feature a fitness center, conference rooms, and a virtual golf course. Details, including floor plans and pricing, about the residences have not yet been released, but we expect luxurious features and design.
Aside from all the top notch amenities, Seventy Rainey’s most attractive feature is its central location. Rainey Street is one of the most unique and diverse areas of Austin. Seventy Rainey joins other condo residences in the area, including the Milago Condos and Shore Condos, as well as a plethora of local businesses, bars, and restaurants. The project has an estimated completion date of Fall 2017. Keep up to date on the latest news about Seventy Rainey, including available listings, on our Seventy Rainey neighborhood profile.
