Williamson County is one of the hottest areas of growth in the greater Austin area. Over the next few years, the city of Georgetown will explode with growth thanks to a brand new subdivision. Over 2,000 homes and about 400 apartments are slated to be built in the brand new community of Wolf Ranch. Located behind the Wolf Ranch Town Center, just west of Interstate 35, the Wolf Ranch subdivision will cover about 750 acres with new residential development. Plans for Wolf Ranch also include 160 acres reserved for commercial and retail development. The project has an estimated cost of $700 million.
The acreage is part of the 1,000 acre tract owned by the Wolf family of Georgetown. The family has owned the land for over 65 years. The property’s ideal location close to I-35 and downtown Georgetown makes it the perfect place for a new residential development. Future residents will also appreciate their neighborhood’s location right next to the shopping at the Wolf Ranch Town Center. Homes in Wolf Ranch are expected to be priced in the $200K to $500K range, with smaller homes available in the $300K-$400K range. No rent estimates have been given for the new apartments. Construction is planned to begin next spring, with the first homes available in within a year.
Dallas-based developer Hillwood Communities is spearheading the project. When it is complete, Wolf Ranch will be one of the largest residential communities in Georgetown. Hillwood Communities is currently developing two other master-planned communities in the Austin area- Rocky Creek in the hill country and Sarita Valley in Leander. These communities are known for their beautiful homes and impeccable amenities. Future residents can expect the same amenities, such as walking trails and pools, to be built in the new Wolf Ranch community.
