Austin Animal Center Donation Drive

At Reilly Realtors, one of the ways we give back to our Austin community is through our Love Austin initiative. This year, we are partnering with the Austin Animal Center to support local animals in need. The Austin Animal Center is the largest no-kill shelter in the Central Texas area, and provides shelter to over 18,000 animals each year. Several of our agents are involved in animal rescue and own pets adopted from local Austin shelters, so this cause is especially close to our hearts. We are excited for the opportunity to support this deserving organization.

The Austin Animal Center was established as a no-kill shelter in October 2010. The facility in East Austin accepts stray and owned animals regardless of age, health, species or breed from all over Travis County. To maintain their no-kill status, the Austin Animal Center requires support from local animal rescue organizations, like Austin Pets Alive! and the Austin Humane Society, as well as from over 250 volunteers. The Austin Animal Center also accepts volunteers to foster vulnerable and at-risk animals. The shelter’s ultimate goal is to find forever homes for all the adoptable animals in their care.

Each animal at the Austin Animal Center requires special attention and care, which is why the shelter needs so much support. We hope you will join us and help out the Austin Animal Center this summer! For our donation drive, we are collecting much-needed items, including dog and cat treats, blankets, washable/durable pet toys, and newspaper. In addition, our Reilly Realtors team will spend a day volunteering at the shelter to walk and play with dogs and other pets. If you would like to make a donation, please contact our office at 512-600-1800, or your Reilly Realtors agent, and we can arrange to pick up your items by October 2nd.
