September 2018 Austin Market Report

According to the September 2018 Central Texas Housing Market Report, Austin's market stayed generally steady through the month of September. Most counties in Central Texas saw a slight decrease in single-family home sales, with the Austin-Round Rock area down 1% to 2,368 homes sold while the median home price rose 4% to $302,000. Despite the continuous rise in prices, pending sales for September increased by 3%. The month of September also yielded an increase in total dollar sales volume to $906 million. Before we know it, Halloween will be here! Before then, Austin has tons of tricks and treats up its sleeve. The Austin City Limits Music Festival is back on the 5th for two weekends in a row, and Formula 1 makes its return on the 19th. Austin Pumpkin Patches 2018

Ready to spice up your fall decor with a pumpkin or two? Pumpkin patches are popping up all across the Austin area at local churches, garden centers, and farms. To help you find a patch, we've put together a list of locations with plenty of pumpkins to choose from, all the way from Kyle to Georgetown. According to the August 2018 Central Texas Housing Market Report, this was the highest-grossing August on record for Central Texas sales volume! Most counties in Central Texas saw an increase in single-family home sales, with the Austin-Round Rock area up 4% to 3,034 homes sold while the median home price rose 8% to $322,000. Despite the continuous rise in prices, pending sales for August increased by 12%. The month of August also yielded an increase in total dollar sales volume to $1.2 billion.
