If you’re all dressed up with no place to go in Austin, or even if you’re a Halloween hum bug and you’re just now getting into the spirit, the city is crawling tonight with local events, specials, costume contests and concerts. 1. A Live One- Halloween Bash Antone’s down on 5th St. will host local band A Live One’s Halloween Party, where the group will cover songs from the Blues Brothers and Phish. Three sets will be played, doors open at 8:30 this evening and a costume contest will be held between the band’s breaks. Tickets are $12 and can be found here: http://www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/153291?wrKey=D1C51CAC21874E8D4ECD980FA96AD99B “What's going down tonight at Antone's? We can tell you the rumors that are flying around are possibly true. We can tell you for sure A Live One will be bringing Phish and The Blues Brothers together under one same roof, sonically. The rest just might be a Halloween trick. Or perhaps a treat.” – Antone’s on Facebook 2. Create Your Own Superhero at Frontier Bar If you want your dose of quirky from East Austin, release your inner superhero tonight at Frontier Bar’s Super Hero Party Clown Party. Dress as any super thing, really, and their examples were Super Bunny, Super Hello Kittyman… let your imagination run wild.
