The new development at Escarpment Village was long overdue, as evident by the crowds that gather there. Rural areas off 1826 add to the diversity of the area, as do older homes in Oak Hill near the Y (Hwy 290 & Hwy 71 intersection). Be sure to get outside in Southwest Austin and visit Metro Park, Dick Nichols Park, the Veloway for cycling and rollerblading, and the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
