North Central Austin Neighborhoods

North Central Austin neighborhoods stretch from the heart of Austin to Round Rock and Pflugerville. Noteworthy new development is happening in this region of Austin. The Domain shopping center and residential area (off Mo-Pac between Braker Ln and Burnet Rd) just opened in 2007 and is home to Neiman Marcus and other high-end retail. Just south on Mo-Pac is Arbor Walk, another new shopping center, and everyone’s talking about the plans for new development at Austin’s old Northcross Mall location. IBM, the University of Texas JJ Pickle Research Campus, and the Texas Culinary Academy also call North Central Austin home, as does Highland Mall and a ton of businesses in strip malls along Burnet Rd. You’ll find established neighborhoods in this part of town with homes from the 1950s in Allandale and Crestview, and newer homes further north in the suburbs such as Scofield Farms.

	North of Rosedale, Allandale is located between Anderson Lane (North), North Loop / Hancock Blvd (South), Burnet Road (East), and MoPac (West). Allandale includes an area just south of Allandale Road (between Allandale Road and Hancock Blvd) which is actually considered Central Austin, but since most homes are located in North Central Austin, we've listed Allandale here.
