  1. Your Great Austin Properties REALTOR will help you determine the best list price for your home by evaluating your home and comparing it to similar properties in your area that have sold and are currently on the market.
  2. Your Great Austin Properties REALTOR will review your home’s condition and give you an honest assessment of what things you should consider to help it sell faster.
  3. After signing a listing agreement, your home will be placed in the Austin Board of REALTORS' Multiple Listing Service (Austin MLS).
  4. When you list your home in the Austin MLS, your home is automatically placed on our website, www.AustinHomeListings.com, as well as sites such as www.REALTOR.com, www.AustinHomeSearch.com and other REALTOR websites that showcase Austin MLS listings.
  5. Your Great Austin Properties REALTOR will place a branded sign in the yard letting everyone know your home is for sale and that your home is being professionally marketed by Great Austin Properties.
  6. If you choose, we’ll put a REALTOR lockbox on your door so that REALTORS with clients may access your property while you’re away. You may also choose to have your home shown only by appointment with you, the owner.
  7. Your Great Austin Properties REALTOR will handle all inquiries from potential Buyers and other REALTORS, and provide you full service representation from the time we list the home until it closes.

* Special note about the total commissions paid on your home sale.  While Great Austin Properties only charges 1% of the sales price for our listing services when you participate in our Austin Move Up program, we recommend you offer an additional 3% of the sales price to the outside REALTOR that represents the buyer of your home (“Buyer’s Agent”).  While commissions are never regulated or set by the MLS, most homes listed for sale in the Austin MLS offer 3% of the sales price to the Buyer’s Agent. You are free to offer any amount of commission to the Buyer’s agent but our experience has shown us that homes offering less than 3% may take longer to sell as some REALTORS working for outside firms may not be incented enough to show your home to their clients.  If you decide to offer 3% to Buyer’s Agents, your total commissions paid will equal 4% of the sales price of your home.
